Nashville – Elton Buttrey, an original member of The Gospel Three, passed away on September 2, 2021 at the age of 89. Visitation will be held at Ellis Funeral Home on Sunday, Sept.12 from 2pm until 4pm and Monday, Sept.13 from 10am until 12pm. Service will be at 12pm and burial will be on 9/13 at Middle TN Vets Cemetery at 2pm.

He was an incredible guy with a big heart and known for helping others. No one that met him could forget his infectious, upbeat personality. He was usually the life of the party, always joking and cutting up. He always looked for the most action-packed ride in any theme park, love skydiving, and anything else that would give him an adrenaline rush. Everyone loved to be around Ronnie‘s energetic personality. He was never more excited than when he was around his two grandchildren Bo and Audra.
